Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Shyam Sundar Sarma || Dr. Rita Rani Talukdar |
Abstract: The study attempts to investigate the relationship between family environment and mobile phone addiction among young adults. It was hypothesized that there would be no relationship between family environment and mobile phone addiction. Data were collected from a sample of N=80 from young adults in Guwahati, Assam. Family Environment was measured by Family Environment Scale (Bhatia and Chaddha, 1993) and mobile phone addiction was measured by Mobile Phone Addiction Scale (Velayudhan and Srividya, 2012). The data were statistically treated and found a negative correlation between family environment and mobile phone addiction.

Abstract: - Criticizing motivated social cognition perspective (Jost et. al, 2003) and ideological rigidity (Greenberg and Jonas, 2003) that caused differences in political attitude; this study sugests that high religious ideological rigidity in individuals and groups contests democracy while low religious ideological rigidity supports it. Concerning political context in Indonesia, there are some groups of Muslims who are compatible with democracy (as a secular system), while the others oppose it and wants to establish Daula Islamiya (with khilafa-sharia). The case study in this research is Abu Bakar Baasyir, the leader of Jamaa Anshoru Tauhid (JAT), and Jamaa Islamiya (which is affiliated with Al-Qaidah) who wants to establish Daula Islamiya..............

Title | : | Investigation of Different Morphometric Attributes And The Find out Erosional Surfaces As Well As Stage of Evolution of Daluaghat Drainage Basin In Giridih District, Jharkhand, India |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Sumitra Mandi || Kalicharan Soren |
Abstract: A main importance in geomorphology over the past quite a few decades has been on the development of quantitative physiographic methods to illustrate the development and activities of surface drainage networks. The quantitative analysis of morphometric parameters is found to be of enormous convenience in river basin evaluation. The influence of drainage morphometry is extremely noteworthy in understanding the landform processes, soil physical properties and erosional characteristics. Drainage characteristics of several river basins and sub-basins in different parts of the globe have been deliberate using conventional methods........

Abstract: The OAU came into being in May 25th, 1963, when the then independent states of Africa met in Addis-Ababa, Ethiopia, to put in place the largest continent diplomatic organization. From the onset the Organization was battered and faced aggressive realpolitik of the major powers in their Cold War geopolitical calculations. Indeed, the brinkmanship game of the competitive interactional relations undermined the evolution of the OAU on issues such as decolonization, development, economic integration and political stability.........

Abstract: While education is expected to change the behaviour of learners positively by moulding them into self-respecting and self- reliant individuals, discipline related issues have been at the fore of educational debates as students encounter challenges associated with adolescence. Cases of truancy, drug abuse, immorality, destruction of property and loss of life, are however, indicators of the existence of a conflict between educational aims and discipline among secondary school students despite the provision of guidance and counselling services in schools............

Country | : | Nigeria |
Authors | : | OBEKA NGOZI OHAKAMIKE |
Abstract: This paper examined the issue of syntactic variation in Nigerian English as it relates to students achievement in English language. Syntactic variation stems from the fact that no two languages are the same. The concept of Nigerian English was discussed. It was observed that when English language is not the mother tongue of the speakers who use it for communicative purpose, another variety is bound to emerge. Nigerian English has been described as being strikingly different from the standard British English variety. Characteristics of the Nigerian English were analyzed viz-a-viz the Standard British English................
