Abstract: The territorial boundaries of the Nigerian federation have undergone frequent changes under military regimes. From 1967, the structure of the federation has been reconstituted five times. The paper seeks to appraise the state-creation exercises under Babangida Administration, with a view to explaining the factors and forces which may have influenced the creation of the 21 - and the 30-state federal structures in Nigeria. The unrelenting pressure for the creation of additional subnational units in Nigeria is a function of the competition amongst federating ethnic groups in the country for favourable allocation of distributive federal resources. Indeed, the insatiable distributive appetite of state proposers would explain why, in spite of the creation of the 36- state federal structure in 1996 the calls for more states have not abated in Nigeria.

Abstract: This article reviews China's Health Assistance (CHA) within the East African Community (EAC) states. Such an analysis helps to identify the specific projects and activities undertaken within the broader knowledge body of China's Health Diplomacy and China's Health Assistance to Africa. Whereas there are contemporary challenges in the implementation of CHA projects in Africa, there is increasing positivity that strong diplomatic relations between China and member states in the EAC will strengthen these engagements. In building better understanding of CHA within the EAC, there is need to address the roles of the many actors involved in the provision of CHA in the EAC member states.

Abstract: Law in our society increasingly required its presence, especially in the era of globalization are dating. The existence of laws meant to be especially important, considering that our country is still at the state level prismatic, which is a country that sits between an agricultural country and industrialized countries. In this transition state, the need for a companion/legal counsel in handling cases faced by the people of Indonesia as a whole more strongly felt. Legitimacy handling of Criminal Procedure Law in Indonesia has been legislated in Act No. 8 of 1981 on the book of the Law of Criminal Law (Penal Code) and various regulatory events in the Law for Special Crimes. However, in practice the implementation of the Act is contrary to the purpose of establishing the Criminal Code itself, because it is still faced with the bureaucratic institutions of investigation

Abstract: Reclamation of root in the original homeland and culture is integral to diasporic consciousness. Diasporas reclaim original identity through 'material' and 'cultural' links. On the one hand, they take up activities of 'maintenance and restoration' of the homeland as agents of development; on the other hand, psychically through memory, vision and myth and linguistically through historical research and literary production, they continue to have attachment to the homeland. The Sri Lankan-Canadian diasporic writer Michael Ondaatje holds a complex cultural position since he considers himself as a 'mongrel of place, race, culture and genres'.............

Abstract: This study examines the socio-economic impacts of remittance on the remittance-recipient households through a primary survey in rural Bangladesh. We pay particular attention to the households who have received remittances for at least one year but not more than ten years. The size of remittances in Bangladesh is more than $14 billion which is equivalent to about 11 percent of country's GDP. This large amount of remittance has helped shape Bangladesh's economy to a great extent for three decades. This socio-economic impact of remittances on remittance-recipient households is important in the sense that they continue to be a significant source of income for countless families and play a crucial role of co-insurance at times of hardship..........

Abstract: Development of Water Resources Projects is a complex task & needs huge investments. This makes it imperative to take a conscious, judicious and sound decision for investment and construction of projects. Any casual approach can lead to a variety of problems in execution, time and cost overruns offsetting the economics of the project. It is therefore necessary that projects are planned based on adequate surveys and investigations, well engineered, soundly designed & evaluated based on reliable economics. The benefit cost ratio and internal rate of return are the two techniques which help take decision regarding economic feasibility & sanctioning of projects in India. The Mhaisal lift irrigation project satisfies all the necessary norms & irrigation has been executed since 2004-2005
