Abstract: Akbar and Aurangzeb- the 'saint' and the' villain' of the Mughal episode of India's history. Such an oversimplified view has tended to distort understanding of India's past and is often based on narrow and one-sided examination of historical facts. Was Aurangzeb really the evil, bigot ruler who led the empire built by his ancestors on the basis of alliances with indigenous elements to decline? Were the discriminatory policies of jiziya and temple desecration carried out with the aim of waging war against idolatry or they had underlying shrewd political motives...........
Keywords: Jiziya, sulh-i-kul, divinity, intolerance, temple desecration, tyranny.

Abstract: Symbolism and emotional manifestation are completely synergistic phenomena. They can be scientifically extrapolated to food experiences, food preferences, consumerism and to an individual subject's general approach to food. The manner, in which a food preparation looks on the plate, is what tempts the viewer's eyes and makes the individual desire to taste it. Many nascent factors contribute to the complete perception of the appearance of a food product. This total perception is built up from all the visual sensations experienced when a product is viewed on the shelf, when it is being prepared and finally, when it is presented to the consumer. All three situations are extremely important to the consumer and hence to the manufacturer. These factors have encouraged us to consider objectively..........

Abstract: Spatial organization of physical and cultural features on the earth's surface can be analysed by geographical investigation. This paper studies spatial distribution pattern of high schools in different tehsils of Goa. The spatial patterns of high schools in Goa are characterized by their uneven distribution due to physical and cultural factors. More concentrations of high schools are found in urban areas and more dispersion is noticed in rural areas where the population density is low. Statistical techniques are used to analyse and identify the central tendency and dispersion of high schools in different tehsils of Goa.

Abstract: For years now, women have been transforming society through their growing contribution to the world economy. Their participation rate in the labor force today nearly equals men. Globally, women are earning higher credentials, yet in spite of these achievements, there is a persistent lack of rural women participation in top leadership roles, indicative of work still needed to address the barriers and obstacles that make it harder for rural women to study further, take up jobs and take up challenging roles in a company. Rural women face unique challenges and limitations..............

Abstract: The current paper is concerned with elaborating the difficulties that Iraqi EFL learners may have concerning the knowledge of collocation as a linguistic resource in the learning of English language. In particular, the paper focuses on the linguistic inefficiency that Iraqi EFL learners have when they are required to interpret body- collocations. To verify the efficiency of the collocational knowledge concerning proper explanations of this type of collocation, a test is made to a specific sample of Iraqi EFL learners (Fourth year students/ Department of English/ Cihan University). The data analysis shows that Iraqi EFL learners lack semantic knowledge when they attempt to explain body based collocations. Such semantic knowledge includes specific attributes which the paper aims to illustrate in detail..............

Abstract: This article examines the importance of establishing an authentic African-centered paradigm in Black Studies. In doing so, this article selects Clenora Hudson-Weems' Africana womanism paradigm as an example. The unity of thought and action is the most important concept in this paradigm. The article tries to trace the main features of such a concept and how these features are different from these in other gender-based paradigms. Africana womanism, coming out of the rich and old legacy of African womanhood, then, is an authentic Afrocentric paradigm. Africana womanism is a term coined in the late 1980s by Clenora Hudson-Weems. As a pioneer of such an Africana womanist literary theory,.........

Abstract: In Asian countries there was a time when students used to study and their teachers & parents used to guide them. However, there has been a shift, the 21st century students have become independent learners. They understand what they want. They choose the courses of their choice. Learning outcomes of a course or programme clearly show what the student is going to achieve at the end of the course or programme. This article presents the importance of learning outcomes of a course/programme, how they are formally specified / written and why students should read and understand the learning outcomes (LOs) before they chose a course or programme.

Title | : | The Frequency of Morpho-Syntactic Errors by Kurdish EFL Learners |
Country | : | Iraq |

: | 10.9790/0837-2203056870 |
Abstract: The current paper is entirely concerned with analyzing the possible errors that the Kurdish learners commit while attempting at translating specific Kurdish sentences into English. The paper mainly focuses on analyzing the morphological and syntactical errors including the use of articles, prepositions and other related aspects of morphology. It combines both morphology and syntax so as to shed lights on the weakness and awkward performance of language in this respect. The study reveals that the learners do commit various errors at the morphological and syntactic levels of language. It shows that there are specific attributes which lead to the occurrences of such kinds of errors.
