Abstract: Background:Environmental income refers to the income earned from wild or uncultivated natural resources.In case of rural economy the contribution of environmental incometo the rural households is typically undervalued in standard socioeconomic surveys.Asan important component of the earth's ecosystems,natural resources are integral part of rural livelihoodsin Bangladesh.In recent years, there has been increasing interest to find out contribution that environmental resources make to local rural income and employment.
