Abstract: Minerals constitute a major natural resource for acceleration of economic development of a country. Odisha is one of the mineral rich states of the country having a special distinction in the country's overall mining sector. The objectives of this paper are to know the demographic characteristics of mining workers and also to examine the perceptions, social integration and cohesion of mining workers.
