Abstract: Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the sociodemographic profile of syphilis in pregnant women from 2015-2021 in Araguatins in the state of Tocantins.
Methodology: The research is an epidemiological study of a quantitative and exploratory-descriptive nature. Regarding the sociodemographic profile of these pregnant women, it was pointed out that they have a low level of schooling, a higher age range between 13-23 years, and (82.5%) self-declared as brown, such information suggests a group of greater social vulnerability........

Abstract: Corruption is a pervasive issue at Nigeria's borders which manifests as a lack of accountability, transparency, and probity among border control officials. Due to gaps in the attributes of border corruption in Nigeria, this research aims to classify corruption at five border crossing points between Nigeria and Benin, focusing on its types and patterns through Jancsics's border typology. Grounded in conflict theory, which examines power relations and inequalities among different social classes, the study reveals key dynamics among customs and immigration officers and clients who navigate the border for their socioeconomic activities. Abstract: Peace continues to be elusive in the Ilemi Triangle, which is located at the intersection of Ethiopia, Kenya and South Sudan. This study focused on the Dassanech and Turkana communities due to the increased frequency and intensity of violent conflicts between them.
