Abstract: Objectives: To determine the reasons for stress in mothers who had a hospitalized baby in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Methods: The data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire that was distributed to 150 mothers who had infants in the NICU. The questionnaire included some of the mother's and baby's characteristics, "parental stressor scale: neonatal intensive care unit", and "nurse parent support tool". Results: The mean age of mothers was 27.7±6.9 years. The reasons for infant hospitalization included: sepsis (27.3%), respiratory complaints (26.0%), prematurity (25.3%), and other causes (21.3%). According to the parental stressor scale, mothers were most likely to become stressed in situations related to their baby's appearance and behaviors. There was a significant relationship between the mean score obtained from the baby's appearance and behaviors and gestational age, baby's length at birth.............

Abstract: background :- Thalassemia is a chronic genetic hematological disorder affect children from birth and remain for long life as all available treatment is supportive not curative. So that, critical psychological burden result from chronicity of thalassemia and its long-lasting treatment. This psychological burden include anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, guilt and shame. For all of these factors, thalassemic children use coping strategies to mediate psychological burden to maintain quality of life at normal level. Aim: the main point of this study was to evaluate prevalence of coping strategies among children with thalassemia. Methods: - descriptive cross-sectional study is carried out on a sample of 300 of thalassemic children belonging to in-patient and outpatient department at children Hospital of Mansoura University, Egypt. Socio-demographic characteristics and clinical data of the children and the Children's Coping Strategies Checklist- Revision 1 (CCSC- R1) were used to collect data...........

Abstract: Adolescence Is A Second Period Of Rapid Growth Which Is Also Associated With Cognitive, Emotional And Hormonal Changes. The Dramatic Increase In Physical Growth And Development Puts Greater Pressure On The Need For Nutrients. This Study Aimed To Assess The Dietary Habits Of Adolescents Especially The Intake Of Fruits, Vegetables, Milk And Water Intake And Its Association With Socio Demographic Characteristics. A Total Of 300 Adolescents Aged 13 To 18 Years Residing In Chennai Were Selected As Samples. An Exploratory Survey Was Conducted And A Structured Questionnaire Was Used To Collect Data. Convenient Sampling Technique Was Used. The Study Results Revealed That Approximately 50% Of The Adolescents Consumed One Tumbler Milk And 1-2 Lts Of Water. Carrot And Tomato Were The Most Preferred Raw Vegetables And Guava Is The Preferred Fruit. There Was A Statistically Significant Association Between Dietary Habits With Age And Gender At 0.05 Level And Dietary Habits With Religion At 0.01 Level.

Abstract: Background: The goal of this work was to show the efficacy of gradual hand skills progression training evaluated by Azzam hand skills progression scale in reacquisition of hand dexterity in hemiplegic C.P. children. Method: Group A (object manipulation with levels progression plus regular physiotherapy program), and group B (regular physiotherapy program only). Azzam reacquisition skill grading scale for detecting the intention level of hand skill progression to be the base of treatment. Modified Ashworth scale for detecting the reduction of spasticity and handheld dynamometer for detecting hand grip strength. This measurement was taken before initial treatment and after 3 months of treatment. Results: Measurement scores were available on the 30 hemiplegic C.P. children shared in the study. The mean value of the study group had an expressive improvement at (post-treatment) (p˂0.05) The variance between pre and post-treatment results was significant in the study............
