Abstract: Back pain is the sixth cause of nurses' days off from their job around the world. The most common anatomical site exposed to back pain is lower back. Low back pain is multi-factorial cause among nursing staff, especially intensive care nurses. Multidimensional interventions can reduce nurses back pain as nurses' training about body mechanics; and providing them with scientific knowledge about wearing comfortable shoes heel, eating a balanced meal, weight control, and importance of physical activities. The aim of the study: to examine the effect of multidimensional interventions on back pain reduction among Intensive Care Unit nurses. Methodology: Quasi experimental design was used to achieve the aim of the study. Subjects: The total study number was 120 nurses, they divided.......

Abstract: Although clinical evidence suggests that an exercise training programme for patients with heart failure is a good for patients with heart failure, but the implementation rate is low. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effectiveness of a self-care programme with home-based exercise training on compliance, physical function and quality of life in heart failure patients. All of the patients involved in the study participated in self-care programmes, and subjects were allocated into either a usual exercise (UE, n = 41) group or a cardiac rehabilitation group (CR, n = 30). For all participants, we measured the Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire (KCCQ) and the New York Heart Association (NYHA) functional class a total of four times during the study period........

Abstract: Breast cancer is a common condition that affects millions of individuals every year across the globe. The accurate staging of breast cancer is fundamental to management decision-making, but there is some uncertainty as to the value of imaging modalities in this context. Specifically, the role of PET/CT has been questioned by some authors, but may represent an important advancement in the field. The aim of this systematic review was to evaluate the effectiveness of PET/CT in the staging of breast cancer. Fourteen eligible studies were included and analysis demonstrated that there is good evidence that PET/CT can identify metastases and lymph node involvements in breast cancer patients. This may impact on staging and treatment decisions in many patients, although the exact justification for PET/CT use remains unclear and further research is needed to clarify this issue. Recommendations for research and practice are provided following discussion of these findings.

Abstract: Postdural puncture headache (PDPH) particularly following caesarean section is a well-known iatrogenic complication of spinal anesthesia mostly occurs due to loss of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) during the procedure. To reduce the sufferings, over last three decades, spinal needles have been modified and more refined and thinner needles of25-31G have beenused. Considering limited studies in this country, the study was planned to assess comparative superiority of 27G spinal needle over 25G in Caesarean Sectionfor reduction of PDPH.The prospective, single blind, randomized study was conducted in Rangpur Medical College Hospital for 1-year period following ethical approval. Totalone hundred full term primi-parous women aged within 18–36 years were selected according to the........
