Abstract: Empowerment is management practice of sharing information, rewards, and power with employees, so that, they can take initiatives and make decisions to solve problems and improve service and performance. In the field of nursing, personal and professional empowerment is crucial to job satisfaction. The empowered nurses will feel inspired and motivated to contribute to their cause, and will have a greater feeling of respect and trust among colleagues, knowing that their contributions are recognized and valuedby the other members of the healthcare team.Job satisfaction is the degree to which an individual feels positively or negatively about the various facets of the job tasks, the work setting, and relationships with coworkers. Abstract: Background: Diabetes has a multiple complications such as foot ulcers and amputations, which has devastating drawbackson the older adults and the community. Although this complication can be prevented by prompt foot care, there are multifactorial barriers to practice foot care among them. These barriers should be identified to develop effective strategies to overcome them. Aim of the study: was to identify barriers of foot care practice among older adults with diabetesin Alexandria, Egypt. Materials and Method: A descriptive correlational research design was selected. Abstract: Asthma is the most common chronic childhood disease that can have significantly negative effect on children and their families. Aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of a discharge plan on mothers to cope with their children suffering from bronchial asthma. Design: A quasi experimental design was used. Setting: The study was carried out at the Pediatric Emergency Department in Children's Hospital, affiliated to Ain Shams University Hospitals. Subjects: A purposive sample composed of 58 mothers accompanying their children suffering from bronchial asthma who were admitted in the previously mentioned setting over a 6 month period were recruited. Abstract: Background: sedating mechanically ventilated patients is an important pharmacologic therapy in ICU. Various sedative agents are available, propofol and dexmedetomidine could be mentioned. Objective: This article was aimed to evaluate the comparison of dexmedetomidine and propofol for sedation of mechanically ventilated ICU patients. Methods: survey of different published articles on the topic. Results: Major results of the articles showed that length of hospital stay, time to extubation, arousability, delirium effects, analgesic requirement and hemodynamic instability was generally low in dexemedetomidine infused patients than patients infused with propofol........

Abstract: Aim: The purpose of this research was to assess association between burden of care, family functioning and resilience among family caregivers living with schizophrenic patients. Methods: This study was a descriptive study was done for 110 family caregivers living with schizophrenic patients. Setting: the study was conduct at outpatient clinic affiliated to Abbassia hospital. The data collection include four tools: socio-demographic questionnaire, Family Adaptability and Cohesion Scale II (FACES- II), The Caregiver Burden Inventory, and Family Resilience Assessment Scale .Results: most of family caregivers were female. 44.5% of family caregivers had level of adaptability and cohesion, 53.6% of family care givers had low resilience level and 55.4% experience moderate to severe burden. Conclusion: Family caregivers experience moderate to severe burden have low family function and low level of resilience. The present study recommended that implementing of counseling intervention for promoting resilience among family caregivers of schizophrenia.

Abstract: Background of The Study: Seizures are the most common pediatric neurologic disorder. 4% to 10% of children suffer at least one seizure in the first 16 years of life. The incidence is highest in children less than 3 years of age, with a decreasing frequency in older children. Epidemiologic studies reveal that approximately 150,000 children will sustain a first time unprovoked seizure each year, and of those, 30,000 will develop epilepsy. As many as 325,000 school-age children, ages 5–14, have epilepsy. Abstract: The decision-making process at team level involves shared responsibilities for client's outcome. This study evaluated nursing interventions in integrated management of chronically ill patients. It was a cross-sectional research design. Purposive sample of 240 nurses working in secondary and tertiary health care institutions in Anambra State of Nigeria were used for the study. Two research questions and two null hypotheses guided the study. The instrument used for data collection was questionnaire on nursing interventions in integrated management of chronically ill patients. Standard descriptive statistics was used to summarize the variables. Mean scores were used to answer the research questions and Pearson product moment correlation was adopted in testing the null hypotheses at 0.01 level of significance.
