Abstract: Nurses' performance is essential in order to accomplish health care in an effective manner. Aim of the study: To determine organizational variables influencing performance of nursesat Quena General Hospital. Design: A descriptive explorative research design was used in the present study. Subjects: The study included all available nurses' who they work in medical, surgical, pediatrics, ICU, OR, maternal and gynecological departments (n=166). Abstract: Background:Increased cases of nutritional rickets continue to be recorded in Kenya.Murang'a County Hospital daily records indicated that rickets is commonly encountered among patients aged below 5 years who consult in the hospital. Nevertheless, studies estimating its prevalence and associated risks in the County are limited. The reappearance of rickets in Kenya means that there could be increased dependency resulting from disabilities associated with rickets. Abstract: Aim of the study:to assess the effect of implementing a body mechanics and ergonomics training program on nurses' knowledge and practices of low back pain, disability level and quality of nursing work life.Research design: an interventional, quasi-experimental, one-group, pretest/posttest study was utilized. Abstract: Family communication is the cornerstone to attain a healthy, happy, and harmony family. Nurses` families face challenges related to their workload and hours, so they need effective family communication to have ongoing family functioning. Aim of the study: to evaluate the effect of educational program on family communication for nurses at Maternal and Child Health centers in Tanta city. Material and Methods: Research design: an experimental research design was utilized in this study. Study setting: The study was conducted at all Maternal and Child Health centers (n=5) and the two Medical centers affiliated to Ministry of Health in Tanta city, El-Gharbyia governorate. Abstract: Clinical pathway is a popular tool to outline the sequence and timing of actions necessary to a desired outcome with optimal efficiency.Aim:to investigate effect of using clinical pathway on nursing performance, patient outcomes and patient length of stay with unstable angina at coronary care unit,Assuit University Hospital. Study subjects: included all nurses working in coronary care unit, (n=25) and all patients admitted to the coronary care unit with unstable angina within a period of nine months. Abstract: Preoperative teaching has proven beneficial in decreasing postoperative complications and length of hospital stay as well as positively influencing recovery. Abstract: Background: Substance abuse among adolescents is a significant health concern. Disturbed bonding between adolescents and parents and various motives of substance abuse are cited as strong correlates of adolescents' substance abuse problems. Aim: the study aimed to explore parental bonding and substance abuse motives among adolescents with substance abuse. Methods: 300 adolescents who have substance abuse were recruited from out- patient clinic of addiction at Psychiatry and Addiction Prevention Hospital – Cairo University Hospital. Participants completed socio demographic and substance abuse data sheet, Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI) and drug abuse motives questionnaire. Results: majority of participants started substance abuse because of peer pressure, perceived parental bonding as affectionate constraint while none of participants perceived optimal parenting.
