Abstract: Introduction: Wound care is a nursing duty that requires excellent skills and knowledge to prevent massive complications, such as infection, gangrene and amputation or, in severe cases, even death. Aim: The aim of this study is to explore existing wound care practices among nurses and to measure the effectiveness of a wound management course on their performance. Methodology: A cross-sectional observational study was conducted on nurses in adult general care and critical care settings using a modified checklist for pre, intra and post wound dressing. Abstract: Premarital program (PMP) is a worldwide activity aiming to diagnose, treat unrecognized disorders, and reduce transmission of diseases to couples which may affect the quality of marriage and the health of future generations. It worth mentioned that none of the reviewed literature has addressed the knowledge ,attitude and practice of premarital program among nursing students in KSA.Nursing students as a future health care providers may encourage regular checkups or testing for people with a medical condition that runs in their family. Abstract: Background: Psychiatric nursing are special areas in terms of interaction and communication with the patient. In order to improve patient care, psychiatric nurses need to develop their empathy skills. Nurses with enhanced empathic abilities can understand the patient and provide the necessary care. Objective: To evaluate the effect of empathy-based training program on psychiatric nurses' communication skills. Study design: A quasi experimental design was utilized for this study. Setting: This study has been carried out at Tanta Mental Health Hospital. Subjects: The subjects of the study comprised all nurses working at the hospital which were 80 nurses and divided randomly into two groups (study and control group, 40 nurses for each group). Abstract: "Oxygen therapy is like a two edged sword", at one edge oxygen is crucial for human being to survive, while at the other edge it may become toxic if it is delivered by inappropriate dose or method. This study was aiming to assess nurses' knowledge, practices and barriers affecting asafe administration of oxygen therapy. Design: A descriptive research designwas adopted to conduct this study. Subjects: A purposeful sampling technique was used to recruit 50 nurses from different departments in one of the Educational Hospitals in Cairo. Data Collection Tools: Four tools were used as follows: 1) Nurse's demographic data assessment tool, 2)Nurse's knowledge assessment tool, 3) Oxygen therapy administration assessment tool, and 4)Barriersto safe oxygen therapy administration assessment tool. Abstract: A maternity nursing staff that performs according to global occupational and professional standards can offer safe care service for women and newborn. Aim: This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of an intervention technique to increase Intern Students Awareness of Maternity Competency Standards at Antenatal Unit. Design: A quasi-experimental research design, pre posttest research design was utilized (time-series one group). Sample: A purposive Sample of 70 female intern students in the Faculty of Nursing at El-Minia University was included in this study. Tools of data collection: Socio-Demographic, Maternity Competency Standards Checklist and Knowledge assessment sheet. Results: The percentage of students who were classified at the poor or the average level in terms of their knowledge or performance on maternal competency standards decreased significantly in posttest 1 compared to the pretest............

Abstract: Background:Mental disorders in children have been increasing worldwide and constitute a public health concern. The aim of this study was to assess the knowledge of primary school teachers about mental disorders in school children and evaluate the impact of an awareness program on their knowledge. Subjects and Methods:A total of 200 teachers from 4 public primary schools in Beni-Suef City participated in this awareness program in the period between September and November 2017. The knowledge of the teachers about mental illness in school children was assessed by the investigators using interview questionnaire. The assessment included knowledge of teachers about 4 aspects; causes and risk factors of mental illness, types, manifestations, and treatment. After the program, all teachers were assessed again over their knowledge about the 4 aspects using the same questionnaire and the scoring system was similar to that of the baseline assessment..............

Abstract: Background: Rectus Diastasis (RD) is a commonly occurring problem during pregnancy and immediate puerperium. It causes an increase in abdominal circumferences ,low back pain together with dissatisfaction about body shape, altered self-esteem, and disadvantage in interpersonal relationships. Purpose: The study was designed to compare the efficacy of different techniques of kinesiotaping (KT) in treating postpartum RD. Subjects & Methods: 45 women suffering from RD, their age ranged from 24 and 40 years, their BMI between 26 and 44 kg/m2. Patients were randomized equally into 3 groups : Group A (15women received KT-I technique),Group B (15 women received KT-X technique) in addition to group C (15women received KT-I-X techniques) for 4 consecutive weeks...........
