Abstract: In the era of globalization and technological revolution, the widely spread usage of e-portfolio inside and outside classrooms has encouraged educators and policymakers to look for new methods of assessment that suit the new digital generation.The purpose of this study is to examine the outcome of using e-portfolio on University College of Applied Sciences (UCAS) students' motivation towards English language learning. The total number of students in English Language social work classes under the humanitarian department at UCAS is 60 (30 males and 30 females). Those are officially enrolling in English Language course (DIPL 1303) at first semester of 2014/2015 academic year. Abstract: Conflict has historically proven to propagategrander tentacles in a corruptionriddled society, by implication, corruption presents a fertile breeding ground for conflict. The ambivalence of corruption in the Nigerian nation has conditioned herwithin the ambience of conflicts. These conflicts complexioned by corruption haveahistoricity that dates back to colonialism. This paper attempts to dot the lines between conflict and corruption, with a keen expedition at highlighting the effects of corruption and its capacity to prompt conflict. In the process, the paper conceptualizes conflict and enumerates the causes of corruption in Nigeria. The paper further recommends ways of discouraging corruption.

Abstract: This Experimental study investigates the written noun phrase structure errors made by Moroccan EFL University students. The focus of the study is also on determining the types of students‟ written errors regarding their formed noun phrases and suggesting a tested alternative teaching method as the treatment which the experimental group has to receive. To do so, 80 semester two students at IbnTofail University have randomly been divided into two groups: the experimental and control groups. The two groups‟ errors have been analyzed on the basis of three discovered types of errors: omission errors, addition errors and mis-ordering errors. The difference between the experimental and control groups‟ pretest and posttest errors has been confirmed by qualitative and quantitative measurement including the application of the t-test.Thequalitative and quantitative analysis of the results has demonstrated the effectiveness of the adopted treatment, the inductive teaching method.

Abstract: It is through language that humans express their worlds as they experience them, and whenever one uses language - these experiences of one - are shown through the processes of transitivity system of language. So, text interpretation requires that the interpretation shows clearly why and how the text means what it does. This paper analyses the material, mental and relational processes, in order to point out who does what, to whom and in what circumstance(s), as the main characters reflect their gender disposition in Ola Rotimi‟s Our Husband Has Gone Mad Again. The analysis follows Halliday Transitivity system of text analysis, in conjunction with Wareing Difference theory. The result shows that the male character carries out more material actions, and in most circumstances his wife receives the consequences of his actions. Abstract: This study investigated the macroeconomic implications of external reserves management in Nigeria. Specifically, the study examined the impact of exchange rate, trade openness, inflation rate, external debt, economic growth rate and real interest rate on external reserves in Nigeria. Ex-Post Facto research design and Autoregressive Distributed Lag - ARDL Regression Model were used. Time series data for the period 1986-2016 sourced from Central Bank of Nigeria Statistical Bulletin were analyzed with the aid of E-view 9.0 statistical software. The study found that exchange rate has significant and positive impact on external reserves in Nigeria; trade openness has insignificant and negative impact on external reserves in Nigeria; inflation rate has significant and negative impact on external reserves in Nigeria; external debt has significant and negative impact on external reserves in........

Abstract: The paper starts by stressing the importance of CRK and its conceptualization. Peculiarities of CRK are presented with a view to realizing how they affect teaching of the subject. The organization of Senior Secondary School Curriculum of CRK is presented in order to bring to the fore its relevance to the problem of insurgency in Nigeria. An overview of insurgency is discussed as well as how to curb it via CRK. This is presented in a table showing the relationship between content areas of CRK and topics that relate to insurgency. Finally, some impediments to the teaching of CRK as a means of curbing insurgency in Nigeria are reviewed..

Abstract: Africa‟s two quests – the need for development and the desire to maintain African civilization – seem mutually exclusive and incompatible. Development entails a process of modernization which for the non-western world is conflated with westernization. It is arguably impossible for non-western world to modernize without westernizing. It is in this dilemma that Africa is stalled: How can Africa embrace development while remaining culturally intact as a civilization? This paper gave a critical appraisal of modernization and westernization and suggested that reformism is the only paradigmatic option available to Africa. It concluded that only a conscious compromise between western and African values can guarantee the dual quests of Africa.

Abstract: Terrorism is now a global phenomenon that has continued to spread and infest the global community to such an extent that it will be correct to state that no country is immune to or free from acts of terrorism. Every incident of terrorist attack is often followed by a flurry of activities especially by news reporters from the print and the electronic media. These reporters, through the medium of language, transmit different shades and angles of the events or incidents as news to the general public and elicit different reactions. This scenario also plays out in Nigeria, a country that has been grappling with Boko Haram terrorism since 2002. This study, therefore, was an examination of transitivity patterns and representations of terrorism in the online newspaper headline reports on Boko Haram by Naij.Com reporters with the aim of interrogating the reporters‟ manipulation of transitivity patterns in their representation and portrayal of Boko Haram terrorist activities in Nigeria. The transitivity system is a theoretical framework.
