Title | : | Campus Setting In Five Point Someone |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Namrata Behera |
Abstract: Study on setting specially campus as setting in Indian novels is a fascinating subject. Yet it is a virgin area. We come across a number of studies on plots, themes and characters in novels but when it comes to setting, we find a few and far between, that to sketchy and unsystematic. Primarily such a state of affairs in literary studies prompted me to undertake this study to unravel its various facets, frailties and fecundities. In a novel, like character and plot, setting is an integral and important ingredient. Besides serving the purpose of a backdrop, it is of overriding importance as it determines the characters in most cases.

Title | : | Need Analysis: the ICT and Gender Issues |
Country | : | Malaysia |
Authors | : | Nwanesi Peter Karubi || Goy Siew Ching |
Abstract: The fact remains that the increase and diversification of the information and communications technologies, have continued to usher in a new era in human development. Often mainstream views depict that such technologies have only technical rather than social implications. Their position is based on the notion that the remarkable affirmative transformations introduced by these ICT technologies have not touched all levels of societies. To some extent such views are accurate. This may be attributed to the fact that the existing power relations and structures in societies often determine the levels of benefits groups or classes in a given society enjoys. In view of this, we argue that ICT's projects or technologies are often not gender neutral.

Title | : | Sujata Massey's The City of Palaces: A Critical Analysis of the Literary and the Thematic Features |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr. TK Pius |
Abstract: The paper on the thematic and literary features of Sujata Massey's latest novel "The City of Palaces" (2013) attempts to grasp the semantics of the narrative dwelling at length on the structure of the plot, its context, characterisation, narrative techniques and thematic intricacies. The novel depicts story of a young woman making her way in Bengal during the end of the British Raj period. While author takes the reader into a village hut, an elite Lockwood School, a swanky brothel, an Englishman's library and into the heart of a young woman who comes to age in a manner that is heartbreaking, the plot's journey becomes entwined with India's own struggle for independence and becomes, in equal parts, a social commentary, a historical thriller and a romantic love story.

Title | : | A step into the male dominated mining sector: Women's participation in mining: the case of Kwekwe District, Zimbabwe. |
Country | : | Zimbabwe |
Authors | : | Elizabeth F. Hove || James Hlongwana |
Abstract: Zimbabwe's determination to empower its citizens is loud and clear and the policy is rooted in distributive justice. This has resulted in people-oriented policies being implemented in various sectors including the mining industry. The consequence has been a significant penetration and control of the small scale mining sector by Africans. However, the affirmative action has somehow missed a target. It has tended to empower men alone than women resulting in serious economic and social gender inequality in the society. The paper analyses the contribution of gender neutral mining cooperatives to the empowerment of women in the society. As both women and men possess inherent skills and weaknesses gender inclusive syndicates will ensure optimum utilisation of their individual skills.

Title | : | Examining Three Domains of Women's Empowerment in Two Culturally Diverse Populations |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Asabe Ibrahim || Sushama Tripathi || Alok Kumar || Chander Shekhar |
Abstract: A multi-dimensional study of measures provides alternative ways through which women's empowerment can be viewed and understand how each domain contributes to enhance the empowerment of women in the developing countries. In this study, we examined women's empowerment levels using three domains that are directly related to issues regarding the position of women in their individual households. The strength of each of these domains was examined through some indicators that point out how well they contribute to the empowerment of women in Nigeria and Uttar Pradesh (India). Statistical analysis was applied to two national survey data obtained from the Nigerian Demographic Health Survey (2008) and India National Family and Health Survey (2006).

Title | : | Narrative Modes As Aesthetic Paradigm In The Modern African Novels |
Country | : | Nigeria |
Authors | : | Peace Ibala Amala |
Abstract: This paper is interested in points of view as narrative modes in AyiKwei Armah's seven published novels. From these seven novels alone, nonetheless, it appears that his core merits as a novelist are subtlety, refinement and control; and on the quintessence of narrative modes Armah is exemplar on the African continent. Armah by his writerly decision chooses various narrative perspectives that form the structure of each of his novels. This work reveals that through a close study of Armah's points of view in his seven novels, a pattern is traceable.

Abstract: In modern consumer society, body and body image have become the major issues in social and cultural studies. Due to the importance of the body, there is a branch of sociology called "body sociology" that seriously investigates the issues related to the body and society. Accordingly, the main objective of this paper is to study the body image status of students at University of Tabriz and its related factors. This is a survey study conducted with 372 people as study samples. Proportional stratified and random sampling methods were used for choosing the samples and the necessary information has been collected from undergraduate students of Tabriz University by questionnaire. The data analyzed by SPSS (22) and LISREL (8.5) software.

Authors | : | Dr.D.Ponmozhi |
Abstract: The present study tries to find out the teaching competencies developed by the student teachers those who are interested in teaching profession. The sample consisted of student teachers from various colleges of Tamilnadu. Random sampling technique was used to collect data. Teaching Interest Scale and Teaching Competency Scale constructed and standardized by the researcher was used to collect the data. Correlation and regression analysis were conducted on the data.

Title | : | A Critique Of meta-Ethics |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Simanchala Pradhan |
Abstract: Meta-ethics is the analytic and conceptual deliberations of ethical terms, ethical sentence and ethical arguments. Meta-ethicists contend that there cannot be any moral standard as there is diversities on the part of human behaviors and social ethos in various societies of the world. These meta-ethicist also claim that ethical problems subsist in ethical language. This is how, according to these meta-ethicists, ethical problem can only be resolved by the analytic study of language of morals.

Title | : | A Generalized Zero-divisible Graph of a Commutative Ring with Respect to an Ideal |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr. Rajpal Singh |
Abstract: In this article, we generalize the notion of an ideal graph of the zero divisor of a commutative ring. Let R be a commutative ring and let I be an ideal of R. Here we define a generalized zero divisor graph of R with respect to I and denote this graph by (R). We show that (R) is associated with a mean of at most three. If (R) has a cycle, we show that the circumference of (R) is at most four. We also investigate the existence of cut vertices (R). Additionally, we investigate certain situations where (R) is a complete bipartite graph. In this chapter, all circles are commutative, not necessarily with unity. Unless otherwise stated. For a commutative ring R with identity, the zero divisor graph of R, denoted.....
