Title | : | Implication of drainage basin parameters for the Bunbuni River Basin in Chotanagpur Plateau region, India |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Sumitra Mandi || Kalicharan Soren |
Abstract: A morphometric evaluation of Bunbuni basin was carried out to determine the drainage characteristics. Total study area is 58.75 Km². Rivers are the active processes which have a tendency to change the channel morphology and hydrological characteristics by the attrition and deposition. The average slope of the study area varies from 0° in the North West to above 8° towards south west. The slope variation is controlled by the local lithology and erosion cycles. Basin morphometry is a means of numerically analyzing or precisely quantifying different aspects of a drainage basin. The morphometric parameters considered for analysis includes the areal and relief aspects of the basin. The study has strengthened in perceptive the hydrological, geological and geomorphological characteristics of the Bunbuni drainage basin.
Keywords: Morphometric evaluation, areal & relief aspects, attrition, Bunbuni river basin.

Authors | : | Ahmad JananAsifudin |
Abstract: The appearance of integration-interconnection science discourse is motivated by the dichotomy reality between religious science (Islam) and non-religious science. The dichotomy development actually came up later after the collapse of the golden age of Moslem that lasted until thirteen century A.D. Those ages was characterized by the progressive civilization and science in Cordova and Baghdad. The histories proceeded for approximately 700 first years the resurrection up to years of the glories of Moslem. At that time, the dichotomy of science has not appeared.Just after that it happened a turning point, marked by the invasion of Mongolian army destroying the facilities of science.............

Title | : | Epistemological basis of science and its implications toPedagogy of science |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr. Manjula P Rao |
Abstract: The epistemological views and beliefs regarding the perceptual world and construction of knowledge related to it may be traced back to the schools of objectivism and subjectivism. The objective view of knowledge had influenced the methods of psychology and education until recent years, which was criticized for its passivity and behaviouristic approach to knowledge generation. The emergence of subjectivists view against the objectivism had resulted in the new outlook to understanding the nature of science and its processes, which led to a paradigm shift in understanding of science and its processes. The shift in perspectives of science and its methods has also influenced the perspectives of science education – its aims, methods, processes involved in knowledge construction..........

Abstract: It is a fact that, the users of technology today are stuck between two very different paths that are used to conceive the world.On the one hand, a linear and quantitative perception mode specific to the Western world, as a visual space;and on the other hand, there is the Eastern holistic, qualitative rational auditory space, in which all the latest technologies push us into it.The advertisements of the international brands serve as a mechanism that guides the values of the masses.Many brands have grown out of their countries and they have been in search of new markets in various countries...........
