Abstract: With the advent of modern age, as the number of women employees are growing, the maternity leave and other maternity benefit has become increasingly common. But there was no beneficial piece of legislation in the horizon which is intended to achieve the object of doing social justice to women workers. In many parts of the world, very little is known about maternity leave by women themselves before they become pregnant. Many are unaware of their rights.........

Abstract: An attempt will be made in this paper to study the problem in a micro perspective vis-à-vis the evolving situation in India through the constitutional amendments relating to panchayati raj institutions ( PRIs ) adding thereby a third tier in the functioning of parliamentary democracy constitutionalising reservation of not less than one-third of the total number of seats for women in PRIs in the country. We begin by stating the issues involved in power and authority, and then in subsequent sections the inhibiting factors, changes in the situation, and the emerging situation are proposed to be dealt with. Then we take up the role of women in PRIs and state our conclusions.

Abstract: Breast cancer is a major health problem in many parts of the world. Breast cancer has the highest prevalence rate among women in Saudi Arabia. This study aim to review the validity and workability of semi and non-parametric survival models in non-medical data. The methodology of sisterhood method for mortality data collection is used, by designing questionnaire. Non-medical variables; age, residence, weight, family history, fertility and marital status are used to show the differences in survival analysis. A total of 32 female breast cancer cases were studied....

Abstract: The article deals with the role of unattached intellectuals in society, and transformation of this role after their involvement in state government agencies. The case of Latvian poet, playwright and politician, Rainis, is being explored. Analysis of his intentions in two stages of politically relevant activities, i.e. stage of unattached intellectual and the politician, reveal continuity.This continuity in combination withreluctance to set a new agenda for the new career contributed to the clash of identities. Furthermore, Rainislaid claim on holding the authority of leader which is related to the symbolic power.
