Abstract: A theoretical model based on established research ofinternalized oppression (IO), internalized superiority (IS), and their effect on personality formation is presented. IO and IS are discussed as they exist in several different cultures. Included in this theoretical model are the basic precepts prevalent in the works of Freire, Fanon, Glaser, Poupart, Tappan, and David. The rudimentary elements of personality theory are also presented. The manifestation of (IO) and (IS) in communities and personalities is considered as paradigms that exist on a continuum from dominate to finite in individuals and cultures............

Abstract: The World Bank structural adjustment programs in Kenya that demanded cost-sharing in public primary schools led many poor families withdraw children from school such that when the government introduced free learning in 2003 the pupil-teacher ratio increased from 40:1 to 70:1. This paper is a summary of a study that sought to determine the impact of free primary education on teacher effectiveness in Kuria East Constituency for the period 1999-2008. It employed the Capital Theory of School Effectiveness and Improvement which discounts the conventional model of measuring school effectiveness and improvement as an inadequate tool for measuring school success, but advocates that schools should leverage on effective strategies that allow for large impact from relatively low effort instead of employing too much effort and yielding too little............

Abstract: Saumyendranath Tagore was one of the pioneers of the Communist Movement of Bengal. He was a champion of the voice and causes of the lower sections of the society- the peasants, factory workers, students and other downtrodden sections. He protested against, and tried to ameliorate, the insupportable condition of their existence. After the formation of the CLI in 1934 Saumyendranath Tagore concentrated on mobilizing the peasants and workers. Very soon he was successful in building up centres in Birbhum and other districts of Bengal. In Birbhum district it was the zamindari system which was the root cause of the exploitation and tyranny on the peasantry.Khairasole, Dubrajpur, Murarai police stations were under the influence of CLI or RCPI............

However, traditional values norms are still playing significantly in marriage process, such as marriage age, process of mate selection, dowry, etc. Youth in India study, a sub nationally representative survey, help us to explore this dimension minutely. Results reveal that arrange marriage prevails irrespective of states, however some independence in the choice of groom or bride is observed in Tamil Nadu.............
