Abstract: In this article, we will examine the notion of language register as a discursive basis for language contact. From this point of view, regardless of the word or expression used, whether their scope implies familiarity or baseness, there is constant talk of a relationship between language productions and contexts. Of course, this implies an effort to clarify and reflect on this question, which always seems to us to be relevant in the sociology of language, in the sense that language registers can be considered as spaces whose borders are drawn, but which can be crossed.
