Abstract: The worsening wave of cult-related killings in South-South Nigeria makes it a major media issue. The consequences of cult clashes and other violent acts associated with cultism are too many to be ignored by newspapers. This study sought to discover the extent of coverage, the prominence given to reports; and factors that prompted news editors of five selected Nigerian newspapers in reporting cult-related killings in South-South, Nigeria in 2019. The selected newspapers were: The Nigerian Observer, The Tide,The Pioneer, Daily Sun and The Guardian. Content analysis and survey research designs were adopted for the study and a sample of 302 issues were determined from a population of 1,407 editions. Abstract: Kahayan River has a size of 450 m long and 100 mwide. The characteristic of the locality shows the uniqueness along the bank of Kahayan River, in which daily people activities physically influence the settlement model.
