Abstract: Background: In Bangladesh, half of the total population is women, yet they are struggling for security, dignity, and equal rights. Women empowerment is viewed as an essential and effective means to achieve respectable status within both household and community levels. The principal objective of the study was to explore the factors that contributing to women empowerment in Khulna district of Bangladesh.
Methods and Materials: Survey method was used to conduct the study A structured interview schedule was used for data collection, respectively. In this study simple random sampling technique was followed, and the sample size was 188. For measuring empowerment, women empowerment index (WEI) was used.
