Abstract: Nigeria has the second largest HIV epidemic in the world and one of the highest rates of new infection in Sub-Saharan Africa. Students in tertiary institutions fall within the vulnerable group of HIV infection. Based on this background, the study investigated the effects of intervention programmes for enhancement of voluntary counselling and testing for HIV/AIDS among students in tertiary institutions in Ekiti State, Nigeria. It assessed the knowledge and attitude of students towards counselling and testing for HIV/AIDS. In addition, the study determined the attitude of students towards stigmatization and discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS.
