Abstract: In this article some concepts are discussed about the Vygotskian perspective of education, the roles of educators in the teaching-learning process and some implications for the education of language teachers. Based on ideas articulated by Vygotsky (VYGOSTKY, 1996; 1998; 2005; 2010), with the support of other authors, this paper addresses the constructs of interaction, mediation, teaching-learning and the places and functions that the teacher can occupy in this process. At the end, a brief analyzes is presented regarding some researches on teacher education in Brazil from a collaborative perspective and propose reflections on possible contributions of socio-historical-cultural theory to the area......

Abstract: Local history is the great source of information about the traditional knowledge system of communities. Especially in a former colonial nation like India, it is even more important to preserve every bit of our culture, given the unrequited love we have for the West and its modernization. Abstract: The exceptional growth of tourism has converted it to a significant economic sector, reflecting characteristics of antagonisms on various levels, such as economic dependence and power projection. The present paper is aν attempt to approach the research differences between two research fields, which are not distinct enough yet. Moreover, the authors attempt a contribution to the delimitation of the research subject Geopolitics of Tourism, in the light of the classical geopolitical view. Firstly (Section I), the role of the state in tourism policy will be briefly reviewed, before presenting (Section. II & III), comparatively the two research fields under discussion and (Section IV) the authors' approach. Finally (Section V) it will be shown how the methodological framework of Systemic Geopolitical Analysis can contribute to approach tourism as a geopolitical factor of power redistribution.....

Abstract: Though English is the official language of Zambia， there are also seven regional languages: Lozi, Luvale, Lunda, Kaonde, Tonga, Bemba, and Nyanja. Though institutions mainly use English as the language of instruction, it is also assumed that learners also tend to use their regional languages either at home or in their daily conversations. Abstract: The importance of accidents involving contact with scorpions can be expressed by their high incidence and potential to cause severe poisoning cases. These accidents are recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as an emerging public health problem that is sometimes overlooked. The aim of the study was to analyze cases of scorpion-related accidents treated at the Hospital of Tropical Diseases (HDT), located in the city of Araguaína, in the northern state of Tocantins, from April to November 2019. This was an observational, descriptive study with a quantitative and qualitative approach. During the period evaluated, 534 accidents with venomous animals were reported, and 138 (25.8%) were caused by scorpions, of which 113 patients were included in this study. There was no difference in the occurrence of accidents between sexes. The highest proportion of accidents occurred.....

Abstract: This study aimed to characterize the sociodemographic aspects of indigenous students at the Insikiran Institute of Higher Indigenous Education, at the Federal University of Roraima. Using an exploratory quantitative methodology, 110 students (18% of the total 613 enrolled) were evaluated from June 2022 to April 2023. Predominantly, the students were women (62.7%), young adults between 20 and 30 years old (57.3%), single (75.5%), with a monthly income between 500 and 1100 reais (22.7%). Most lived in indigenous communities (82.7%), were unemployed.....
