Title | : | Mentoring Young Minds: Focusing On the Educators' Role in Mentoring Students at Institutes of Nursing Education. |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr. Meena Ganapathy |
Abstract: Nursing as a profession is taught in a teaching Institute by nurse teachers/ educators. Nurse educators combine clinical expertise and a passion for teaching into rich and rewarding careers. These professionals, who work in the classroom and the practice setting, are responsible for preparing and mentoring current and future generations of nurses. Nurse educators play an important role in strengthening the nursing education, and serving as role models and providing the leadership needed to implement evidence-based practice. Nurse educators are responsible for designing, implementing, evaluating and revising academic and continuing education programs for student nurses. Nurse educators are critical players in assuring quality educational experiences that prepare the nursing workforce for a diverse, ever-changing health care environment.

Title | : | Workplace Spirituality and Role Stress among nurses in India |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Iyer Ramajanaki Doraiswamy || Mahesh Deshmukh |
Abstract: The aim of the study was to examine relationship between workplace spirituality and role stress among nurses in India. Role stress is one of the important factors leading to unwanted consequences like intention to quit, job dissatisfaction and high turnover among nurses. Creating a workplace characterized by cooperation,sense of joint values, spirituality and meaningfulness at work would help alleviate stress. A questionnaire survey was conducted to collect data on workplace spirituality and role stress. The sample consisted of nurses from municipal and private hospitals in Mumbai (n = 450; response rate 94.7%). Workplace spirituality was found to be negatively correlated with role stress of nurses(r = - .267 , p< 0.01). The results have implications for interventions, to improve workplace spirituality, in reducing perceptions of stress thereby enhancing performance of nurses. Interventions for meaningful work and job rotation to deal with perceptions of stress are suggested.

Country | : | Indonesia |
Authors | : | Moh. Wildan || Kiswati, Jamhariyah || Firdaus Primasari |
Abstract: Breast Milk (ASI) is the best food for infants. Considering that the level of benefits of breastfeeding and the importance of exclusive breastfeeding, it is necessary to take a series of efforts to increase breast milk production of lactating mothers. One way that can be used is by doing Yoga exercises. This research aimed to determine the effect of Yoga in increasing breast milk production of mothers breastfeeding infants aged 1 to 6 months. The research used pre experiment method with one group pretest-posttest design. Sampling used simple random sampling, and the number of samples was 30 respondents. The results of statistical test of t-test (p 0.004), meaning that there was an effect of Yoga exercises in increasing breast milk production of lactating mothers. This happens because Yoga can affect the mind, soul and spirit of the mothers, in which Yoga gives peace of mind, relaxation and a sense of comfort as well as increasing mothers' confidence, so this affects the release of prolactin and oxytocin hormones for breast milk production. Keywords: Yoga, Breast Milk, Lactating Mother's.

Title | : | The Effectiveness of Live Bee Sting Acupuncture on Depression |
Country | : | Egypt |
Authors | : | Safaa Diab Abd El- Wahab || Lamiaa Hassnein Eita |
Abstract: People with depressed mood can feel sad, anxious, empty, hopeless, helpless, worthless, meaningless, guilty, irritable, ashamed and restless. They may lose interest in activities that were once pleasurable, experience loss of appetite or overeating, have problems related to concentrating, remembering details or making decisions, and may contemplate, attempt or commit suicide. Insomnia, excessive sleeping, fatigue, aches, pains, digestive problems or reduced energy may also be present. Depression will be the second leading cause of disease burden worldwide 2020. Despite these considerable costs, current pharmacological and psychological interventions have limited acceptability and effectiveness, up to 60% of depressed persons do not adequately respond to pharmacological antidepressant treatment and 30% do not adhere to medication..

Title | : | Reflective Practice: Implication for Nurses |
Country | : | Nigeria |
Authors | : | Famutimi Esther Oluwatoyin |
Abstract: Reflective practice is a frequently used but inadequately defined concept in nursing. This may be attributed to the inadequate conceptualisation of the process of reflection. This paper agreed that now is an appropriate time to critically examine the notion of reflective practice and maintains that there is a need for more robust debate and research into the nature of reflection in nursing. Although reflective practice has been identified as a valuable tool to help nurses recognise their own strengths and weaknesses, even though many still find it difficult to embrace.

Abstract: Introduction: Antimicrobial resistance or drug resistance is the ability of a microorganism (like bacteria, viruses and some parasites) to stop an antimicrobial (such as antibiotics, antivirals and antimalarials) from working against it. Irrational use of medicines is a major problem worldwide. As nursing students can play a vital role in the Health Education of patients, the present study was under taken with the objectives to study the Knowledge, Attitude and Practice (KAP) associated with Anti Microbial Resistance (AMR) among them.
