Abstract: Triage, is often one of the weakest parts of the health care system in low-income countries as compared to industrialized countries; but if well-organized it can be life-saving and cost-effective. Many hospitals in low-income countries lack a formal triage system. knowledge about triage is a key in triage decision making. Effective decision making can influence the health outcomes of presenting children. Anxious parents visiting Pediatric Emergency Services (PES) insist the management of their children first. Because of the potentiality for rapid deterioration of a child, children who require emergency life saving support are missed causing adverse effects. A descriptive design was undertaken to assess the knowledge of the nursing personnel regarding paediatric triaging in a tertiary care hospital of south India. Purposive sampling technique was employed and fifty nurses were recruited...............

Abstract: Introduction: Neonates undergoing surgeries in hospitals worldwide undergo average to severe postoperative pain. Surmounting evidence demonstrates that, controlling pain in the neonatal period is beneficial in improving physiologic, behavioral, and hormonal outcomes. However, there is paucity of information by the health care providers regarding knowledge and skills on postoperative neonatal pain management. Objective: The objective of the study was to describe management of postoperative pain among neonates at the new born unit in Moi Teaching and Referral hospital (MTRH), Kenya. Methodology: The study design was a prospective descriptive study conducted at the newborn unit, MTRH. Data collection tools and procedures used were check list for observation...........

Abstract: A pre experimental one group pre-test post-test study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge and practice regarding electro convulsive therapy among 60 GNM 2nd year students studying in selected Schools of Nursing, Tumkur, Karnataka by using purposive sampling technique. Structured questionnaire and checklist was used to assess the knowledge and practice of the students. The findings of the study revealed that the mean post test scores were significantly higher than mean pre test scores.

Abstract: Background: Infrastructure reform of nursing work environment in Egypt is becoming an imperative issue for healthcare organizations. Where, efforts are exerted worldwide for improving nations' health and nurses as key role players and most consistent fellow of the multidisciplinary team are profoundly important in healthcare field. Therefore, attention from hospitals to create a healthy environment where nurses are comfortable working will promote competencies needed for improving present and prospect targeted healthcare quality. Aim: The study aims to design and validate a compatible tool to measure Infrastructure of nursing work environment across various hospitals within the scope of the Egyptian healthcare services sectors located in Cairo and Giza..........

Abstract: Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection and its complications are one of the most leading health challenges over the world.Where it causes tissue damage, causing cirrhosis of the liver gradually. Liver biopsy and Fibro-scan are the standard methods to measure fibrosis before treatment. however, those methods have its own limitations, risks and cost.Liver fibrosis has been determined usingroutine laboratory tests. The laboratory tests are Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), platelet count (PLT), Total Bilirubin(TB), Direct Bilirubin (DB), Total Proteins (TP) and Albumin (ALB). The aim of this paper, estimate cirrhosis using laboratory tests and multilayer perceptron (MLP) neural networks.Research applied on 582 liver patient in Egypt.Testing phase is comparison between Fibro-index results and Neural Network result. Visual studio 2015 C# and SQL-Server are used to develop a windows application. General Terms Liver disease.

Abstract: Leukemia is the most common cancer in children, representing approximately one- third of pediatric cancers.Breastfeeding is common but not universal in very early infancy in Egypt.Among infants under two months of age, 71 percent are receiving only breast milk. However, the proportion exclusively breastfed drops off rapidly among older infants. By age 4-5 months, only around 1 in 8 children were being exclusively breastfed. This study aimed to explore the relation between breast feeding and acute lymphoblastic leukemia .A descriptive correlational design was utilized ona Purposive sample with a total of 200 mothers with previous breast feedingand their children were younger than 18 years. This study was conducted at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), Cairo, Egypt. A structured interview questionnaire sheet was constructed by the researchers. Results revealed that no statistically...........

Abstract: Urinary tract infections are considered as the most common bacterial infection in both pregnant and non-pregnant women. About eight million women visit a physician annually for evaluation of urinary tract infections. Aim: to assess the prevalence of urinary tract infections during pregnancy at Al Dawadmi, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It was found that the more than half (58%) of women had UTI (29%) of them were due to fungal causes. Out of one hundred women, thirty one reported urinary symptoms. Most common urinary symptoms in these women was (35%) had dysuria & pain ,while less than quarter (23%) had fever & only( 12 %) had rigors. We concluded that the prevalence of urinary tract infection in pregnant women attending antenatal clinics found more than half (58%) of women had UTI and (29%) had fungal causes. We recommended that repeated urine analysis during pregnancy is needed.

Abstract: Managing healthcare complexity and challenges requires competent first-line nurse managers (FLNMs). The role of FLNMs is critical and cannot be underestimated in any successful healthcare organization, because they form a direct link between the administration's vision, mission and staff nurses working in direct healthcare. Furthermore, there is a need to study managerial and leadership competencies of FLNMs within the context of Makkah city`s hospitals. Aim of study: To explore managerial and leadership competencies of first-line nurse managers in Makkah city...........

Abstract: Hemodialysis patients are high risk to the development of healthcare-associated infections because of various predisposing factors, as they under invasive procedures, depressed their immune system, they not have physical barriers between patients in the outpatient Hemodialysis environment, and recurrent contact with healthcare workers during procedures and care. Performance of proper hand hygiene technique before and after contact with dialysis catheter site or during the dressing reduces the possibility of infection. Proper hand hygiene performed by nurses lead to remove most of harmful microorganisms; and break the chain of infection. If Hemodialysis nurses have knowledge about correct hand hygiene technique, and its opportunities; these influence their good practices in infection control measures. Aim of the study: To assess nurses' knowledge and practice regarding hand hygiene and its opportunities application in hemodialysis units..........
