Abstract: The purpose of the study was to assess the extent to which household size determines household income and health expenditure in Central Senatorial District, of Delta State, Nigeria. The study used questionnaire/interview on the household head for 270 household heads. The cross-sectional survey of the expost facto design of a descriptive study was the design. Data were analysed using descriptive and Pearsman moment correlation coefficient at 0.05 alpha. It was found that household sizes ranges between 1 – 7 with a mean of 4 household size. Monthly income ranges between N9,385 to N49,646 per month while healthcare expenditure ranges between N846 – N5,183........

Abstract: Lung Cancer is the second leading cause of death in women and the leading cause of death for men worldwide. Nurses are an important part of the workforce; Saudi Arabia is facing huge nursing workforce shortages with a majority of the workforce being expatriate nurses. The overall aim of this study was to examine the emerging role of nurses caring for patients with Lung Cancer in Saudi Arabia. Current literature suggests Americans are living longer and presenting to providers with increasingly complex multiple chronic conditions in record numbers (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2013). Abstract: Background: Breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer worldwide. Methods: The study aimed to assess the level of knowledge, attitude and practices towards breast cancer among women aged between 15 and 70 years living in the periurban center; Maina slum in Laikipia County, Kenya.A cross-sectional descriptive study was administered to female aged between 15 and 70 years residing in Maina Slum. Data was analyzed using SPSS Version Results:The results showed that most women (69.2%) do not have any knowledge of the risk factors that cause breast cancer. The attitude of the participants once they learn that they have breast cancer was that majority of the participants 44.9% would consult a doctor. However, concerning the practice, only 44.1% of the women underwent Self Breast Examination by the time the study was conducted.

Abstract: Background: Over the past few decades, studies of Functional Health Literacy (FHL) have increased dramatically. However, information about the health literacy of Egyptian patients remains scarce. Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the FHL and associated factors among Egyptian Hospitalized Patients. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted over a period of six months in a selected university teaching hospital in Cairo, Egypt. A convenient sample of 280 adult patients was participated. Three measurements were utilized in this study together with the demographic data questionnaire: (i) The Short version of the Test of Functional Health Literacy in Adults (S-TOFHLA), (ii) Rapid Estimate of Adult Literacy in Medicine (REALM-R) and (iii) The CHEW scale.
