Abstract: Angle's Class II Malocclusion Can Be Treated By Distalizing Maxillary Posterior Teeth In Cases With Skeletal Class I Base With Straight Profile, Horizontal Growth Pattern, Retroclined And /Or Crowded Maxillary Anteriors And Deep Bite. A 13 Years Old Male Patient With Similar Malocclusion And Severely Crowded Upper Anterior Teeth, Palatally Displaced Lateral Incisor, With Midline Shift Was Treated By Distalizing Maxillary Molars Thus Creating Space For Crowded Upper Anteriors. Orthodontic Treatment Was Carried Out In Two Stages: Distalization Of Upper Posterior Teeth Using Pendulum Appliance Distalizing Upper Molars Thus Creating Space For Crowded Anterior Teeth Followed By Fixed Mechanotherapy Aligning Them In The Second Stage. Post Treatment Result Shows Marked Improvement In Teeth Alignment, Profile And Smile Esthetics

Abstract: Mandibular Retrusion Is The Most Prevailing Characteristic Feature Of Class Ii Malocclusion. Functional Appliances If Used In Growing Patients Can Cause Skeletal Changes For The Correction Of Class Ii Malocclusion. This Case Report Demonstrates The Use Of Functional Appliance (Twin Block) In A Growing Patient With Skeletal And Dental Class Ii Malocclusion, Large Overjet And Deep Overbite. Treatment With 'Twin Block' Appliance Caused Not Only Skeletal And Dental Changes, Dramatic Improvement In Facial Appearance Has Been Achieved

Abstract: Objective: The Establishment And Maintenance Of Normal Occlusion Constitutes One Of The Important Objectives Of Pediatric Dentistry. There Are Very Few Studies Assessing The Occlusal Characteristics Of Primary Dentition In The Preschool Children. The Objective Of This Study Was To Assess The Occlusal Characteristics Of Primary Dentition And Difference In Various Parameters In Children Between 3-5 Years Of Age. Method: 808 Healthy Children, Of Age Group Between 3-5 Years, And Having Full Set Of Deciduous Dentition, Were Selected By Random Sampling. Examination And Recording Of Occlusal Characteristics Were Done By Single Examiner.....

Abstract: This Literature Review Provides A Comprehensive Examination Of May-Thurner Syndrome (MTS), A Seldom-Recognized Vascular Condition Characterized By The Compression Of The Left Iliac Vein By The Right Iliac Artery, Leading To Venous Outflow Obstruction And Subsequent Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT). The Review Synthesizes Existing Literature On MTS, Spanning The Historical Context, Pathophysiology, Epidemiology, Diagnostic Modalities, Treatment Options, And Prognosis. It Highlights The Elusive Nature Of MTS Due To Its Non-Specific Symptoms.....

Abstract: Introduction: Present Case Relates To Gleason Histological Assessment Of Adenocarcinomatous Tissue Of The Prostate. Accordingly, Malignant Tissue May Be Categorized Into 5 Different Histological Grades, Lowest Grade Being 2 And The Highest Grade Being 5 (Best-To-Least-Differentiated). Initially, The Most Predominant Pattern Is Graded. Subsequently, Second Most Common Tissue Is Graded. Sum Of The Histological Grades Of First And Second Most Dominant Malignant Tissue Is Reported As Gleason Score (GS). Gleason Grade 1 May Appear Normal While Gleason Grade 5 Either May Not Show Glands Or Show Rudimentary Glands. If Only A Single Tumor Is Detected Than Double Its Grade To Give A Total Score. It Has Been Suggested That Patient With Higher Gleason Score May Have A Worse Prognosis As Compared To Another Patient With Lower Score. In The Present Case, The...

Abstract: Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome (Nms) Is An Idiosyncratic Reaction To Certain Psychotropics, With A Fatality Rate Of Up To 10%. It Is Most Commonly Associated With Antipsychotics (Typical>Atypical). It Is Commonly Characterised By Muscular Rigidity, Fever, Altered Mental Status & Autonomic Dysfunction . Here We Present A Case Of Nms Which Didn't Response To Bromocriptine But Later Responded To Lorazepam. It Is One Of The Handful Cases Where It Was Successfully Controlled With Lorazepam. Because Of Its Easy Availability And Comparative Safety And Efficacy Of Other Anti Nms Agents, It Can Be Used More Frequently In Practice.

Abstract: Background: Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) Is A Life-Threatening, Acute And Potentially Fatal Mucocutaneous Disorder Due To An Aggressive Immune Response. Majority Of The Cases Are Drug Induced Manifesting As Severe Mucosal Erosions With Widespread Erythematous Cutaneous Macules (Atypical Targets). The Symptoms Appear Shortly After Usage Of A Drug Or A Combination Of Drugs And They Rapidly Deteriorate In A Short Period Of Time. Early Diagnosis And Management Play An Important Role In Stopping The Progression Of SJS. Aim: The Aim Of This Article Is To Record A Case Of Early Diagnosis And Effective Management Of A Patient With Stevens Johnson Syndrome Secondary To A Combination Drug Therapy Of Ofloxacin & Ornidazole Prescribed For Tooth Pain.....

Abstract: Introduction: Benign Prostatic Enlargement Is A Prevalent Cause Of Bladder Outlet Obstruction (BOO) In Men Over 50 Years Presenting With Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS). While Urodynamic Study Is The Gold Standard For Diagnosing BOO, Its Invasive Nature Limits Its Routine Clinical Application. This Study Aimed To Evaluate The Utility Of Intravesical Prostatic Protrusion (IPP) As A Non-Invasive Clinical Predictor For BOO. Methods: This Cross-Sectional Study Was Conducted At The Department Of Urology, Dhaka Medical College And Hospital, From January 2009 To December 2010. The Study Included 60 Consecutive Male Patients Aged 50 Years And Above.....
