Abstract: OFDM is a special kind of Multi Carrier modulation technique which forms the basis for 4G Wireless system. OFDM is a key broadband technology that can supports data rates in excess of 100 Mbps that is essential for next generation 4G broadband communication.. Peak To Average Power ratio is one of the serious problems in OFDM technology that is problem of extreme excursions of transmitted signal, which reduces the efficiency of transmit high power amplifier. This paper explores the problem of PAPR and focus in reduction of PAPR using μ law technique. This proposed technique shows the better performance in the presence of non linear high power amplifier by significantly reducing PAPR more than 5.5 db, signal to noise ratio is also deceases by 6 db at BER=𝟏
