Abstract: Background: Urban areas globally are known to offer many opportunities to urban dwellers. However, they also concentrate health risks and hazards. Primary Healthcare (PHC) is an approach used to offer the first contact healthcare services. Studies have revealed low utilization of PHC services in urban Kenya. This has led to high burden of preventable diseases. This paper set out to assess the households' utilization of PHC facilities in Nakuru town. Materials and Methods: The study adopted mixed method research that involved quantitative and qualitative approaches.
