Abstract: The Bodos are believed to be the earliest settlers of Assam and of the regions known as the North East India. In ancient periods, the Bodos built powerful kingdoms in different names and in different places in the present North East India including the present north Bengal and Bangladesh. But in the modern period, the Bodos are now represented as the rural community with their modest living on their agricultural produce. Their medieval religious practices are still carried to this day, and during the period of the study that is second half of the nineteenth and the first part of the twentieth century, the modern economic activities could not be seen, they did not have any polity of their own, nor any written character, hence, no written history to reckon with, the social practices were of rudest type.........

Abstract: This paper is a comparative study of the healthcare sector in Haiti and China. The primary objective was to find a systematic approach aimed at ensuring equitable distribution of healthcare services in third world countries, particularly in least developed countries using Haiti an economically impoverished country in the Western Hemisphere as the litmus test. To establish the proposed hypothesis, the study relied on existing research through an extensive literature review that focused on a comparative analysis of an almost non-existing healthcare system in Haiti to that of China's improved and evolving healthcare system. Whilst China is regarded internationally as a developing country despite its remarkable economic achievements within the past three to four decades, Haiti also a developing country...........

Abstract: Religion is not limited by what is included but by what is excluded by it, this lack of coverage will not destroy the deepest religious content. The substance of a human being is to believe in the existence of Lord. This is acknowledged in tauhid rububiyah of Islām people, while what distinguishes Islām from other religions is tauhid uluhiyyah. Basically, the human having religion is same. The concept of Lord in Islâm is based on revelation. The revelation here is not imagination at all as the fancy of a great poet or the artist's claim to themselves.............

Title | : | Corporate Governance - A Broader Perspective |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr. Prashant Kumar |
: | 10.9790/0837-220606101103 |
Abstract: In this paper it is argued that the notion of market-based corporate governance approach should be broadened to include the problem of owner-controlled firms and large block-holders and should be generalized to a model of multilateral negotiations and influence-seeking among a number of different stakeholders. In practice such a model should incorporate checks and balances between various stakeholders and outside constraints and must take into account how the political and legal system of a country affects this balance. In fact, even if there is theoretical reason to believe that ownership with its incumbent benefits and costs belongs to equity, this view is not dominant in most economies..............
