Abstract: The literature on the activities of the Nigerian military since independence is unquestionably copious. However, while many of these works centred on military coups and intervention on politics, civil-military relations, transition to civil rule programmes, etc., few actually analyse the political intrigues or schemes surrounding these activities. This article is an attempt to fill some of these gaps, especially in the area of military transition programmes to civil rule in Nigeria. This paper against this background X-rays all the military transition to civil rule programmes since 1966 till date, and attempted a critical analysis of them with the view tounveiling the politicisation these transition programmes were subjected to. The study reveals for instance, the calculated attempt at using military transition programmes to transform erstwhile military Heads of state to civilian president during...........

Abstract: Background: Antenatal care (ANC) helps in getting a healthy mother and a healthy baby at the end of pregnancy. This requires early registration of mother and a host of services as ANC package like IFA tablets, Tetanus toxoid, advices (regarding diet, rest) etc. Antenatal visits may raise awareness about the need for care during delivery or give women and their families a familiarity with health facilities that enables them to seek help more efficiently during a crisis. The National Health Policy, launched in March 2017 aspires to ensure that everyone has access to health care, especially the poorest. It emphasizes wellness and preventive healthcare, good quality maternal and child care, as well as comprehensive primary healthcare with two-way referrals. Abstract: The development of the client portfolio has become at the heart of the business policies of companies. Managers are increasingly paying attention to their brand strategies and are focusing on strengthening the brand-consumer relationship. The objective of this paper is to study the relationship between the dimensions of brand attachment and the dimensions of fidelity while analysing the moderating role of nostalgic connections on this relationship. An empirical study was carried out on an accidental sample of 210 people. The results of structural modelling relate the positive and significant impact of addictive attachment on attitudinal and behavioural fidelity, while the attachment of friendship has a negative impact on both dimensions of loyalty. The moderating role of nostalgic connections has been rejected because of the inconsistency between the desire to recall a period of life or a person with the quality (happy or unhappy) of the period in question.
Key words: Addictive attachment, attitudinal fidelity, behavioural fidelity, friendship attachment, nostalgic connections.

This research work was aimed at determining the impact of international trade on the economic growth. Variables used in the measurement of international trade include: Imports, exports, balance of trade and trade openness while real gross domestic product was used as a measure for economic growth using periodic data from the years 1985-2015. The econometric tests employed made use of the Unit Root Test to establish stationarity of the variables, the Johansen Co-integration Test was used to determine the long run relationship between the variables while the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) was used to analyze the data so as to determine the speed of adjustment of the variables..........

Abstract: Kenya just like other countries in the world has to struggle with the high demand for quality education in general and legal education in specific. More institutions of higher learning are seeking accreditation from the accreditation body (Council of Legal Education) to offer legal education yet matters of quality are least addressed. The regulatory framework of legal education in Kenya has streamlined provision of legal education and training. Today, Kenya prides herself with over 60 institutions of higher learning of which 10 are licensed to offer legal education and training. Although these institutions are still fewer in terms of meeting the demand for legal education and training, quality has been the driving force behind the licensing of legal education and training institutions. A recent audit........

Abstract: Majnun Layla is a popular classic story in the Middle East. It is said that this story inspired Shakespeare to write the story of Romeo and Juliet in Europe. Abstract: Spending on health care is considered as an investment by many countries of the world. Nevertheless, many developing countries hitherto have not allocated sufficient resources to fund their health care systems. Some due to resource constraint but others due to ignorance or health care is not in a political discourse. Out-of-pocket (OOP) spending on health care has the power to distort the economic well-being of the households who make, especially the less income groups. However, in most of the developing countries the medical insurance facility is still in a meager existence and thus, when people get health shocks they have to make the payments from their pocket. This can push the people into the pool of poverty and poverty trap to those who are poor. The percentage of poor people in Assam has been increasing from 34.4% in 2004-05 to 37.9% in 2009-10...............
