Abstract: This study examines consumers evaluation of privatization of power supply in Ondo State, Nigeria. The researcher adopted quantitative method. 289 copies of questionnaires were administered to the randomly selected respondents. 50.5% of the respondents disagreed on the regular supply of electricity with the take-over (X2= 52.71, p < 0.05). 69.6% of respondents concurred that prepaid meter has stopped the incessant cutting of electricity cables (X2= 126.87, p < 0.05). The chi square results, show that the public perceived BEDC staff more responsive to customer complaints now than before. The challenges faced by customers after the privatization range from unavailability of recharge cards; delay in the supply of pre-paid meters. mal-functioning of the pre-paid meter hen there is low power outage. The following recommendations were made among others: Analog meters should be phased-out for prepaid meters, likewise the recharge cards of different denominations should be made available at the nearest BDEC offices to the consumers. There should be a technological improvement on prepaid meter so as to make it work effectively even when there is low power outage..

Abstract: This work is a conceptual discourse on the power of the media, especially in political communication and citizens‟ participation. The paper, leaning on the arguments of the theories of participatory and deliberative democracy as well as the theories of communication and social interaction, examines the different ways political stakeholders such as: The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), politicians/political parties, the electorates, and Civil Society Organizations, used the social media before, during and after the gubernatorial polls in Anambra State for political participation and electioneering processes. Extant evidence shows that the social media platforms have not only become tools for increased citizens‟ active political participations, but have also...........

Abstract: The main objective of privatization of the Nigeria‟s power sector was to attract private investment and higher efficiency in service delivery. The hope was that the entry of investors into the sector would improve power generation and distribution across the country. More than three years after privatization, the sector now faces a major setback as liquidity, manpower and other challenges have continued to haunt the sector. Improvement in power supply chain has become almost impossible. Majority of the Nigerian population do not have access to electricity grid and self-generation is estimated to be at least twice as expensive as the cost of generation. Stakeholders are worried that if nothing is done to remedy the situation, the system may not witness any major growth in years to come.

Abstract: There is a general opinion in all around the world that normally democracy can improve with left-wing and secular parties. What about the political climate in Turkey? Even in Turkey there had been tradition of social democrats. Usually people think social democrats are representing the democratizations in Turkey. But why it was not realized? Because this is so called social democrats are at the same time elitist. And one of the most problematic point is that they had been always waiting military interventions against islamists. When analyzed in detail, it is obvious that positive contributions were made to democracy during the conservative and centre-right wing parties in Turkey. We aimed to explain this with examples in this study.

Such challenges can include dealing with identity development, financial pressures, emotions, and additional increased stress. Knowing how young adults successfully transition this stage while overcoming adversity is critical.A dearth of such information in literature suggests a need for in-depth research on ways in which young adults can grow and cope successfully. The goal of the current research study is to examine how young adults utilize their resources and examine factors that enhance their level of resilience as opposed to those that hinder. Data were analyzed to determine any significant differences between young..........

Abstract: The transition skills are designed to help students with disabilities leave school and be successfully integrated in the community. Such students include those with Moderate Mental Disabilities (MMD) most of who can carry out work and self-care tasks with moderate supervision. However, despite the Kenya government efforts to improve access to education and also the quality of education to increase the levels of successful transition among these category of learners into the community and their inclusion into the labor market, most of them remain unemployed as evidenced in Nyanza Province in Kenya. This has been attributed to the lack of proper transition training while in school. Therefore, the purpose of the study was to identify the skill areas learners with moderate mental disabilities are trained in for transition from school to community in Nyanza Province, Kenya. The study adopted descriptive survey design and was conducted in four special schools for learners with mental disabilities in...........
