Abstract: In Bangladesh as in other regions of the world, the population ages 60 years and older is growing faster than the total population and they are being neglected by their family. They are not treated even with basic human courtesy. As family traditions weaken, many elderly people now live apart from their children. As per Bangladesh constitution, the needy elderly people have a right to social security. This is one of the fundamental principles of state policy (article 15d of Bangladesh Constitution) and fundamental rights (article 26-47A). This study examines the aging problem in legal and ethical perspectives with their relevance in the case of elderly population in Bangladesh highlighting the needs and problems encountered by the elderly. At the same time this study reviews the Parents Maintenance Act of 2013(Act no 49 of 2013) and the services for the elderly and their limitations in Bangladesh. This article recommends some guidelines with the emphasis on social worker`s roles for the welfare of the elderly in Bangladesh.

Abstract: Change is a constant element in human lives. Thus many factors are very instrumental to behavioural change at any stage in human development and growth. This paper examines the relevance of social interactions and their differentiated patterns in behavioural change of female Muslim students in tertiary institutions in Nigeria. The paper argues that the layers of factors of interactionshave varying implications on the behavioural change among female Muslim students. These layers of interactions must, therefore, be positively manipulated and exploited to make positive impact on the behaviours of female Muslim Students of tertiary institutions in Nigeria. And, if negatively exploited, these patterns of social interactions would tremendous negative implications on the already vulnerable female Muslim students.

Abstract: Chronic fatigue syndrome is an illness characterized by profound disabling fatigue lasting at least 6 months and accompanied by numerous rheumatological, infectious, and neuropsychiatric symptoms (Fukuda K. et al.1994). As the name implies, chronic fatigue syndrome is a symptom-based or clinical diagnosis without distinguishing physical examination or routine laboratory findings. Infectious, immunological, neuroendocrine, sleep, and psychiatric mechanisms have been investigated; however, a unifying etiology for chronic fatigue syndrome has yet to emerge. It seems likely that chronic fatigue syndrome is a heterogeneous disease with different pathophysiological disturbances that manifest with similar symptoms. Regardless of the pathogenesis, persons with chronic fatigue syndrome, like those with other chronic diseases, have a substantially impaired functional status that results in............

Abstract: This conceptual paper studies the relationship between parental cultural and religious beliefs and students‟ dropout from government secondary schools of Zamfara, Nigeria. The paper reviews the studies on relationship between parental cultural and religious beliefs and students‟ dropouts. In addition, the paper also examines literature related to parental cultural and religious beliefs and students‟ dropout from government secondary schools in both Nigeria and other countries. The discussion in the paper is based on the theoretical framework of ecological theory of Bronfenbrenner (1979). This theory is appropriate for the study because it allows the reader to understand how children‟s education is significantly affected by the parental cultural and religious beliefs. Finally, the paper provides and presents some suggestions and recommendations on how to improve student‟s retention and minimize the problem of dropout. Conclusions from the literature were drawn, and the paper concludes that parental cultural and religious beliefs are related to students‟ dropout.

Abstract: A lot of controversies have arisen in recent times, as corporate leaders are brought under scrutiny by the media and other stakeholders. This has changed the game for a lot of them and it is no longer business as usual. What would have been ignored in times past would make headlines especially when it comes to ethical issues. As a leader of an organization, one is no longer responsible to just the shareholders in terms of maximizing profit. But as ethical leadership is concerned, the responsibility of ensuring that there is a clear line between what is acceptable and what is not acceptable while driving the organization to reaching set goals becomes paramount. The pitfall for several leaders is that, in the bid to achieve short-term goals, they cross the ethical lines which has major repercussions for the entire organization. This paper takes a holistic review of literature at the concepts..........

Abstract: The present study focused on the nature and extent of diversification of small farmers owning land below two hectares. For the present study, district Sonipat of Haryana state was purposively selected. Furthers, for the empirical analysis; three villages were selected for conducting household survey of farmer. All data pertaining to study like area, production, input use and user perception were analyzed to identify the constraints and potential of small farmers while producing High Value Commodities (HVC) like fruits, vegetables, dairy and poultry product etc. The extent of diversification was assessed using "Herfindahl Index Method". The study revealed that the extent of diversification amongst small farmers is high as compared to larger farmers. It is found that Small farmers have abundant family labour and they tend to put more area under HVC crops of their total land availability. However, Farmers owning land between 2 to 4 acres are more flexible & access to required facility like credit, formal agricultural training etc. which shows their positive impact on diversification.

Abstract: Hitherto many countries especially the developing and underdeveloped countries depend on out-of-pocket (OOP) to finance the health care of the citizens. However, many households fall into poverty trap and become debt ridden due to huge OOP expenditure. Not every household can finance the OOP expenditure from current income and savings. Therefore, households have to either borrow or sell assets to make the expenditure. Knowledge on coping mechanisms of health care cost provides important information on how households respond to health shocks and how expenditure may affect their future welfare. The objective of this paper is to explore how households in rural Assam cope with, or arrange the necessary resources to pay for the OOP expenditure. This will give knowledge on how strategies differ between financing inpatient care and outpatient care and between different demographic and economic categories of the households.......
