Abstract: The issue of global warming has become a recurrent decimal and controversial in the study of global environmental politics. This research examined the politics of global warming and climate change in Nigeria. The study adopted historical research design. The researcher used primary and secondary types of data. The primary source of data was Focus group discussion on selected areas like Rivers, Lagos and Akwa Ibom state whereas secondary data was gathered from text books, internet prints, journals, newspapers, and libraries, Delta State University library, University of Ibadan Library and National Library Ogun State. Abstract: A country develops with the educational development of all it's citizens in spite of their caste, creed, religion and gender. Development of any state lies with the development of education of backward and socio-economically disadvantaged people. Therefore education of schedule tribes has been given top priority for the socio-economic development of our country. Education is the key to tribal development but the tribal people are deprived of receiving proper education due to several reasons. Out of 62 tribes, the Soura is one of the most ancient tribes of India, as well as an oldest major tribe of Odisha. Souras are not numerically important still they are historically and culturally significant tribal community of the state. Abstract: Corruption as a phenomenon is endemic to human society. Though corruption is deemed to be universal, it has had a severe impact on the African continent where it is widespread and systemic. Corruption transverses a wide spectrum ranging from petty crimes involving fraud and bribes to large scale corruption which is supported by powerful networks. It takes many different shapes and forms. Corruption cuts across all spheres of the community – administrative, political and economic. The nature and scope of corruption in Africa was examined in this paper. A historical context of corruption on the continent was analysed, both the pre-colonial era and the post-colonial era. Corruption affects various aspects of governance and the paper also looks at the negative effects of corruption on governance. Also discussed here are the circumstances in which the risk of corruption is particularly high and where the drivers of corruption are found. In the end it will also proffer solutions to fight corrupt practises in everyday life.

Abstract: The paper assesses the Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme (OYES) of the Osun State Government of Nigeria as a poverty alleviation programme, from the beneficiaries' point of view. Data were collected on a psychometric scale with the aid of a questionnaire. Using a combination of snowball and convenience sampling techniques, 1,350 OYES cadets were sampled. Data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics. It was found that the scheme was targeted at the youth who were not discriminated against on any basis. Adjudged sustainable, the scheme's overall success was partly attributed to its multipartite nature. However, it was found that the scheme neither had an adequate administrative structure nor adequate funding with the state government........

Abstract: A student is considered to have just a single role in his life, to learn and grasp as much knowledge one can. But within this very flawed system of learning, the other countenances of a student's life are often overlooked and ignored. These include the mental health of a student and academical stress faced by them. These aspects were even more neglected when a global pandemic struck the entire nation and a lot of chaos and turmoil was reflected on the nation's history. From being jovial and socially bounded to becoming socially withdrawn and the hesitation to meet new people, the pandemic has had its adverse effects on the psychological well-being of a student. This research paper would try to highlight those neglected aspects through the medium of online surveys and gaining insight from a university level counsellor.
