Abstract: Background/aim: A stroke is a neurological disorder resulted from an alteration in the cerebral blood flow leading to clinical affection of mental function, motor skills, sensory detection, perception, and language with higher mortality and morbidity rates. The most common symptom after stroke is the impairment of motor function which is considered an important factor affecting the functional recovery. Stroke patients with upper extremity functional limitation are dependent in performing the activities of daily living, such as eating, dressing, and selfcare which are usually done by both upper extremities. So, the main aim of different rehabilitation programs is to maximize the ability.......

Abstract: The daily increasing high mortality and morbidity rates from unsafe injection practices, necessitated the investigation of perception of injection safety measures among in-service training nurses in selected health facilities in Owerri Senatorial Zone, ImoState, Nigeria. Three research hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. Descriptive research design was adopted in the study, involving all the 180 in-service training student nurses in the Zone. Questionnaire was the instrument for data collection. Validation of the instrument was ensured, and reliability tested using Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient is 0.9. Data analysis was by frequency distribution and percentile.........

Abstract: Introduction: Growth monitoring services (GMS) is a key public health intervention that serves as the fundamental activity in an integrated child's healthcare and nutrition programme.Studies have shown that GMS have the potential to achieve improved breastfeeding and complementary feeding practices thus improving the nutrition status of children below five years. Objective: To examine the factors influencing adherence to GMS for children under five years of age. Methods: We conducted a health facility-based cross sectional study in the informal settlements of Kibera in the City of Nairobi, Kenya. Data were collected from caregivers of children (<5 years) using interviewer-administered questionnaires. Bivariate analyses were done to determine significant predictors of uptake of GMS......
