Abstract: Vulnerable and at-risk adolescent girls have poor education outcomes compared to their non-vulnerable peers. These girls face intractable challenges including frequent exposure to forced sex, teenage pregnancies, poor health among other challenges. In response to the poor education outcomes among vulnerable and at risk adolescent girls, a number of community based organizations are designing and implementing girls‟ educational empowerment projects to address the poor educational outcomes and other challenges that vulnerable and at risk adolescent girls face. However, available evidence suggests that these interventions face a number of implementation challenges, arising mainly from differing stakeholders‟ interests and differences.
