Abstract: Background:This research paper focus to study on The fear of missing out, or FoMO, which is an exploration of the dread of being socially excluded. There is a constant awareness, brought about by social media, of what an individual may be missing out on in terms of having a good time. The study focusses on the concept of social media addiction. The researcher took 500 respondents as her sample size to study on the duration of time period spend on social media, the addictive nature towards usage of SNS and the need of gratification with the access of social networking sites
