Abstract: Work environment is the crucial fact and challenge for the nurses as it recognizes contributions of nurses to clinical care, promotes executive level nursing leadership, and empowers nurse' participation in clinical decision-making. Workplace bullying is one of the most significant issues in today's organizational life. Abstract: Background: Vascular access devices can cause bloodstream infections (BSIs) which lead to long hospital stay, morbidity, and high mortality. The catheter-BSIs can largely be preventable through efficient nurses' level of knowledge and practice. Aim: to assess the Critical Care nurses' knowledge and practice on vascular access devices related infection. Subject and Methods: A quantitative descriptive research design was utilized in this study on a purposeful sample of (74) critical care nurse whose work experience is more than six months, and working at the Critical Care Units affiliated to Suez-Canal University Hospitals, Ismailia city, from February to May 2017. The study instruments were a Knowledge questionnaire to assess the level of nurses' knowledge, and an observational checklist to assess level of nurses' practice regarding VADs related infection. Abstract: Cancer is constantly recognized as a serious public health problem inNorthern Africa and it has a major impact in Libya and across the world3. Using longitudinal retrospective- descriptive survey, an incidence and mortality of cancer was identified in 6 years period from 2011 to 2016. The data collected and analyzed from Misurata Cancer Center Registry, out of 3, 711 registered cancer cases, (54%) were female and (46%) were male, (21%) from aged 51 to 60(20%) from age 41 to 50 and (19%)were age 61 to 70. The study singled out lung cancer (21%), as the most diagnosed cancer in men, followed by cancer of the colon (17%) and prostate cancer (11%), as to female, breast cancer marked (39%), cancer of the colon (13%) and cancer of the ovary (12%)........

Abstract: Breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer among Egyptian females. Mastectomy results in a series of disabling psychological, social and physiological stressors, which vigorously affect the mastectomiesed females' coping strategies, body image and self-satisfaction. The aim of this study was to assess the impact of mastectomy on coping strategies, body image and self-satisfaction for Egyptian females Design: A descriptive research design was utilized. Setting: The current study was conducted at the Oncology Institute outpatient clinics of Menoufia University Hospital, Menoufia Governorate, Egypt. Abstract: Background: The prevalence of diabetes is rapidly rising all over the globe at an alarming rate. studies have shown that lifestyle changes that include exercise can significantly delay and possibly prevent diabetes . Aim of the Study: To compare the effect of active versus passive stretching exercises on blood glucose level in elderly diabetic patients. Material and Methods: Fifty elderly type 2 diabetic men participated in this study. The patient's age ranged from 60 to 70 years. The patients were divided randomly into to 3 groups. Abstract: During the last years, laparoscopic appendectomy has been widely done in pregnant women in spite of the absolute or even relative contraindication of such surgeries during pregnancy. Few studies compared the outcomes of open versus laparoscopic appendectomy. Aim: This studyaimedto investigate the postoperative surgical and obstetricclinical outcomes of open compared to laparoscopic appendectomy in pregnant women. Methods: Non-experimental descriptive design was applied in conducting this research. Tools: two tools were used. Tool 1: Patient's interviewing questionnaire, post-operative clinical outcomes sheet. Results: The mean age of studied patient was 27. 08± 5.4 vs. 28.8±8.3 among LA vs. OA groups respectively. Number of CS among LA vs. OA was 17 vs. 21 respectively......
