Abstract: Home science is a field where students learn from practical experiences and therefore are very apt to participate in community enrichment programs. This is important because community enrichment programs support student's cognitive and social development, introduce students to new activities, and help students develop the attitudes and skills to participate in community programs. This paper discusses need for community enrichment programs and advantages of participating in community enrichment program for students.
